From “La Alondra Infinita”

As requested by Clari, here are some of the pictures that were published in the book “La Alondra Infinita”. Some of the originals, like “The White Tablecloth“, can be seen in my Gallery.

horizonte hecho sangre, fuego y fragua
de llamas que anudaban un abrazo.

Recuerdo de aquel sol que se moría
derramando en el río su agonía
como esfumado adiós… en el ocaso.

La Alondra Infinita

This is the cover of a new book by Olimpia Bordes which is illustrated with some of my paintings.

The book is in Spanish, published by Creadores Argentinos.
And here is a gift for my Spanish speaking readers: a beautiful poem by Olimpia Bordes.

La Alondra Infinita MUCHACHA EN EL TIEMPO

Aquella lejana muchacha
soñadora
que ensayaba sonrisas
en el frecuente espejo.
Aquella lejana muchacha
sensitiva
que lloraba leyendo
una historia de amor.
Aquella lejana muchacha
enamorada
que guardaba en silencio
su primera pasión.
Aquella lejana muchacha
tan distante…
he olvidado su nombre
hoy… su nombre soy yo.

A book

Friday, September 22nd, 2006

Sorry I have not been posting for a while, but after our wedding I was commisioned to illustrate a book with some of my paintings, sketches and drawings.

Olimpia Bordes is an Argentine writer, member of the SADE (Sociedad Argentina de Escritores - the Argentine Society of Authors) who has published several poetry books and won a number of prizes for her literary work.

For this book, she chose some of my finished works, but I had to complete some others ‘on demand’.

It has not been an easy task for I had to interprete, visually, a poet’s vision expressed through written words.
The book has been published, and as soon as I receive a copy I will write more about it.
