Si Clari, almost always.
Pen, pencils, eraser and pencil sharpener are permanent inhabitants of my handbag. Whenever I go out for the day (or short trip) I make sure to take my watercolour box, paintbrushes and sketchbook as well.
Quick sketches like these can be very exciting to do. Sometimes they can be really difficult, because my unsuspecting models will not stay still. But always, they are good fun, specially when I look at my sketchbook months or years later.
Glad they made you smile.
